NASA is planning to send small devices containing human cells in a 3D matrix -- known as tissue chips or organs-on-chips -- to the International Space Station (ISS) to test how they respond to stress, drugs and genetic changes.

Made of flexible plastic, tissue chips have ports and channels to provide nutrients and oxygen to the cells inside them.

SBI, the country’s largest bank, has eased rules for submission of Form 15G and Form 15H by its account holders. SBI in a communication through Twitter said account holders can submit Form 15G and Form 15H at any of its bank branches, instead of just the home branch. “No need to worry about going to the home branch anymore! Now, SBI accepts your form 15G/H at any and every SBI branch,” the bank said on Twitter. A home branch is the branch where a customer has a bank account.

Bidding till November 19: SECI raises ceiling tariff for 10 GW solar auctions

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has raised the ceiling tariff for auctions for the 10 gigawatt (GW) manufacturing-linked solar scheme to Rs 2.85/unit from Rs 2.75/unit set earlier.

The ceiling tariff was initially set at `2.93/unit, and later cut by `0.18 in the wake of falling prices of solar modules. The nodal agency for central government-run renewable projects has also deferred the last date for receiving bids to November 19, the fifth postponement since the initial deadline of August 20.
