Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Tuesday said the water and effluent treatment business of its construction arm has bagged “major” projects in Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Odisha. The engineering and construction company, however, did not provide the exact value of the contract; but as per its project classification, the value of the contracts was in “major” category which is in the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 crore.

Paytm Travel, the digital arm of payment and wallet company Paytm for booking online travel tickets is looking at regional language users in tier-II and tier-III cities to drive growth ahead. The travel business has 13 million customers, up from 9 million last year, said Paytm’s Vice President and head of Paytm Travel Abhishek Ranjan told Financial Express Online.

New Delhi: The government has promised to lower corporate tax rate to 25 per cent for all companies once Goods and Services Tax (GST) mop-up improves, Ficci President Sandip Somany said Tuesday.
