Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 18th Convocation of Tezpur University in Assam on January 22 at 10.30 am through video conferencing.

Temperature is expected to go down again in Delhi from Sunday (January 24) onwards due to a fresh western disturbance in the western Himalayas, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The cold will make a return in the national capital after a few warm and windy days.

At least eight people were killed in a dynamite blast at a Railway crusher site in Hunasodu village in Karnataka's Shivamogga district. The loud blast that occurred around 10.20 pm on Thursday night, resulted in mild tremors in and around Shivamogga.

The corporation has today entered into a share purchase agreement for sale of 47,75,241 equity shares of Re 1 each, representing 24.48 per cent of the issued and paid-up share capital of Good Host,Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) said in the late night regulatory filing on Wednesday.

Indian share market opened at a record high on Thursday, with the BSE Sensex index scaling the 50,000 level for the first time.
