In April, Infosys had said it will acquire WongDoody Holding Company, a US-based digital creative and consumer insights agency, for a total consideration of up to $75 million.

BENGALURU: Infosys has begun looking for a technology services industry expert to replace Ravi Venkatesan as independent director on the company’s board, a person with direct knowledge of the plan told ET.

The software services exporter will involve an external agency to identify the right person, the source said, adding that the company would also “consider recommendations from existing board members as well from outside”.

Infosys has said it its largest campus outside of India is going to be in Indianapolis, US. The company is already aggressively expanding its capacity in US while stepping up hiring to localise the workforce.

The proposed campus, according to some local media reports, is expected to come up on around 125 acres, which the company will acquire from airport authorities, and would house as many as 3,000 employees. This, however, could not be independently verified.

Infosys, which detailed its strategy to analysts in post market hours on Monday, also reiterated its capital allocation policy of returning up to 70 per cent of free cash flow (FCF) with periodic review of return cash balances.
