TVS Motor on Wednesday announced its alliance with Torino Motors, a subsidiary of Groupo Autofin for the Mexican region.

In the first year of the association, Torino Motors will work with TVS Motor to open 40 exclusive stores in the country for the distribution of two-wheelers, according to a company release.

TVS Radeon 110cc: TVS Motor has launched the new Radeon premium commuter motorcycle in India at a price of Rs 48,400 (ex-showroom). The Radeon, which has been positioned as a premium commuter motorcycle will address a section of the Indian market that is yet unaddressed according to TVS Motor. The Radeon will employ a 110cc Duralife motor that is designed to deliver 8hp @ 7000 rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5000 rpm.

New Delhi: Electric mobility solutions provider Ultraviolette Automotive on Monday said it has received Rs 6 crore funding from TVS Motor Company.

The additional investment as part of Series A round will be deployed for continued product engineering and further expansion of core R&D team and facility, Ultraviolette said in a statement.

TVS Motor Company has reported a 13.2% growth in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2018 to Rs 146.6 crore as against Rs 129.5 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. However, it missed market expectations as analysts were expecting the profit of around Rs 170 crore. In spite of a strong 14% growth in total two-wheeler sales (including exports) to 8.93 lakh units in the quarter under review as compared to 7.85 lakh units sold in the quarter ended June 2017,

TVS Racing has recently taken the wraps off the race-spec Ntorq 125, better known as TVS Ntorq SXR. Three-time National Championship winner Asif Ali and Shamim Khan will ride this scooter during the fourth round of the Indian National Rally Championship 2018 to be held in Nashik on 25th and 26th May. In terms of visuals, there is not much that differentiates the Ntorq SXR from the stock model, except for the knobby tyres and the race-inspired livery. It is under the skin where the prime changes take place.

TVS Motors is planning to assemble vehicles in Bangladesh in partnership with state-owned Atlas Bangladesh Limited. Outside India, TVS Motor currently manufactures vehicles only in Indonesia, through which it caters to both domestic and international markets.

Buoyed by an impressive 32% growth in volume, TVS Motor has reported a 31% growth in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2018 to Rs 165.61 crore, compared with Rs 126.77 crore reported in the same quarter last fiscal. For the full year, taking advantage of the 18% growth in volume, coupled with better per unit realisation, the profit after tax grew 19% to Rs 662.59 crore as against Rs 558.08 crore in the previous fiscal, a company press release said on Wednesday. PBT during Q4 grew 43.3% to Rs 192.10 crore compared with Rs 134 crore.

TVS Motor Company profit grew 30.6 per cent to Rs 1.65 billion in the January-March quarter of 2017-18 from Rs 1.26 billion in the same quarter of 2016-17.

The company has reported a growth of 40.4% with total revenue excluding Excise Duty / GST going up from Rs 284.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2016-17 to Rs 399.2 billion in the same quarter of 2017-18.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today said his ministry has accorded permission to auto makers Bajaj and TVS for making vehicles that run using 100 per cent bio-ethanol made out of rice and wheat straw.

The TVS Apache RR 310 has outsold its closest rival KTM RC 390 in the month of March 2018. In fact, the bike has beaten the combined sales of KTM RC 390 and 390 Duke during the said period. According to the sales data issued by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the TVS Apache RR 310 found 983 new homes in the month of March 2018. On the other hand, 716 units of the KTM RC 390 and 390 Duke were sold combined during the same month.
