Resolute Energy Partners shares ownership of the oil field with Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company (NNOG), since the Aneth Field sits on reservation land. The field was discovered in 1956 and is considered mature and long-lived, making its operation less risky than newer, unproved fields.
