Public Bank Berhad has about 250 branches throughout Malaysia, where it is one of the top lenders and fund operators. Offerings include deposit accounts, credit cards, home loans, and insurance plans. In addition to retail and commercial services, it provides corporate banking, brokerage, investment banking, wealth management, and Islamic banking. Public Bank has more than 100 overseas branches in countries including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. The company was founded in 1966 by chairman Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow.

Public Financial Holdings Limited provides banking and investment services in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories of China. It also provides fixed deposits, personal and business loans, including mortgages, share margin financing, and more. Subsidiaries Public Bank (Hong Kong) and Public Finance Limited provides retail and commercial banking, as well as consumer loans in Hong Kong and mainland China through more than 70 branches. Another subsidiary Winton (B.V.I.) Limited offers taxi and light bus financing as well as personal and short-term loans. Malaysian banking giant Public Bank Berhad owns about 74% of Public Financial.

Punjab and Sind Bank was founded in 1908 to help those economically challenged Indians traditionally underserved by financial institutions. PSB boasts more than 900 branches (about half in the state of Punjab) offering savings and checking accounts, credit cards, loans, and life insurance along with government pension accounts and remittance services. It also has about 100 limited service counters inside other businesses. PSB has been restructuring, closing or relocating underperforming branches to improve profits. It has asked the Indian government, its owner, to grant it an initial public offering.
