Nordea Bank is one of the largest financial services groups in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions. Sweden is its home but Nordea also is active in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Russia. The bank splits its operations into three main divisions: Nordic banking, private banking and institutional and international banking. The bank also provides life and pension products. Northern Bank has a network of nearly 100 branches and about a dozen banking centers. Founded in 1809 as Northern Banking Partnership, Northern Bank was acquired by Danske Bank, Denmark's largest bank, in early 2005.

Oberbank, which has more than 130 locations, has operations throughout Austria, as well as in the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia. The bank serves individual clients, but caters to business, particularly the industrial sector and small and midsized firms. Oberbank units are involved in such activities as investment, leasing, and real estate lending. A unit of Unicredit Bank Austria owns about one-third of Oberbank, which has minority cross-ownership alliances with Bank für Kärnten und Steiermark (BKS) and Bank für Tirol and Vorarlberg (BTV).

One of Russia's larger banks, Rosbank offers corporate banking services (its core product) as well as retail banking, investment banking, asset management, and private banking services. The bank also runs treasury-related operations and offers credit card and various other loan services. Founded in 1992, Rosbank serves large and middle-market clients; however, about 70% of the bank's corporate clients consist of SMEs (small and medium enterprises). With a presence in more than 70 regions in Russia, Rosbank operates about 65 branches and hundreds of retail outlets. French bank Société Générale owns about two-thirds of Rosbank. Russian bank VTB acquired nearly 20% of the company in 2010.

Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) strikes a balance in serving rural and urban clientele. As one of India's largest banks, the financial institution manages more than 1,400 branches. The bank also operates nearly 1,000 ATMs around the country. OBC offers home loans, vehicle loans, and other consumer loans, as well as business and agriculture loans, cash management, savings accounts, life insurance, and internet banking. In addition to rapidly modernizing its services, Oriental Bank of Commerce also runs a number of programs aimed at assisting women and the poor. The state-run company was founded in 1943.
