CNB Financial is the holding company for CNB Bank (formerly County National Bank), which provides traditional deposit and loan services through more than 20 branches and two loan production offices in northwestern and central Pennsylvania. In 2005 the company opened ERIEBANK, a division of CNB Bank, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Commercial, financial, and agricultural loans make up more than 35% of CNB Financial's loan portfolio, which also includes residential mortgages (about 30%) and commercial mortgages (more than 25%). Other offerings include credit cards, investments, life insurance, wealth management, and merchant credit card processing.

Comm Bancorp is the holding company for the Community Bank and Trust Company, which operates about 15 branches in northeastern Pennsylvania. Targeting individuals and small to midsized local businesses, the bank offers standard deposit services such as checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, CDs, and IRAs. Business loans make up the largest portion of the bank's loan portfolio, followed by commercial mortgages and residential mortgages. The bank writes a relatively fewer number of construction and consumer loans. The bank has subsidiaries that offer insurance and asset management, commercial leasing, and title insurance. F.N.B. Corporation is buying Comm Bancorp for some $70 million.

Community Bank System is right up front about what it is. The holding company owns Community Bank, which operates about 150 branches across nearly 30 counties in upstate New York and five counties in northeastern Pennsylvania, where it operates as First Liberty Bank and Trust. Focusing on small, underserved towns, the bank offers such services as checking and savings, money market, and NOW accounts. The bank's loan portfolio is divided nearly equally among business loans, residential mortgages, and consumer loans. Community Bank System also provides trust services, brokerage services, investment management, insurance products, and employee benefits plan administration.
