Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (or BIDV) is one of the country's largest state-owned commercial banks, with more than 100 branches, transaction offices, and subsidiary locations. BIDV was founded in 1957 and converted to a full commercial bank in 1995. The majority of its portfolio is in commercial loans -- primarily construction, manufacturing, and agricultural loans. Most borrowers are state-owned enterprises; the rest of the bank's portfolio also includes loans for state-directed projects. In addition to traditional lending and leasing, BIDV invests in companies, disperses government funds, and performs wholesale banking for World Bank projects.

Subsidiary Leumi Partners provides corporate investment banking services and makes direct investments in nonbanking businesses.

Bank Millennium offers brokerage, investment funds, leasing services, and pension and savings plans. The company has nearly 500 locations and more than 500 ATMs around Poland. Bank Millennium is the primary member of the Bank Millennium Group, which also includes Millennium Leasing, Millennium Brokerage House, and Millennium TFI (investment funds). Banco Comercial Portugues owns 66% of the company.

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Malaysia's second Islamic bank, has a full range of financial services in compliance with Shariah (Islamic law). It offers consumer and business lending, savings accounts, remittance, and investment services as well as trade financing, offshore banking, and foreign exchange products. Bank Muamalat also helps Muslims meet their zakat (charitable giving) obligations by setting up accounts and providing calculators for that purpose. The bank was formed in 1999 from the Islamic banking components of the then Bank Bumiputra, Bank of Commerce Malaysia, and BBMB Kewangan. Bukhary Capital now owns 70% while Khazanah Nasional owns 30%.
