Holdsworth Fabrics Limited Originally founded in 1822 as John Holdsworth & Co., The company has designed and manufactured upholstery used by the mass passenger transportation market for more than 185 years. Its lineup ranges from wool moquettes to flat weave materials, leather, and recycled leather for covering bus, ferry, and train seats, as well as fabrics for wall, ceiling, and windows. For six generations the company was owned by the Holdsworth family. However in 2005 it merged with the textile and property development group, Hanson St. James. Two years later, Holdsworth's sales trading arm and brand name was acquired by textile specialist Camira Group, and renamed Holdsworth Fabrics.

Holliston company produces fabrics for a myriad of coating applications. ICG/Holliston manufactures book cloth used to cover books ranging from best-sellers to textbooks and loose-leaf binders. The company, formerly Industrial Coatings Group (ICG), acquired Holliston Mills in 1998; both companies were founded in the late 1800s. The company has sold its sign and banner business line to Avery Dennison.

The company's flooring systems consist of carpet tiles cut in squares or rectangles and laid to resemble traditional carpet. Interface chairman Ray Anderson brought modular carpet to the US from Europe in 1973 when he founded predecessor company Carpets International.
