Five generations of the Timken family have served the company since its founding by one-time carriage maker Henry Timken in 1899.

Thermadyne makes gas (oxy-fuel) and electric arc cutting and welding products for customers in the aerospace, automotive, construction, metal fabrication, mining, petroleum, and shipbuilding industries. Thermadyne's products include automatic welding equipment, cutting and welding torches, plasma power supplies, engine-driven welders, welding wires, and plasma cutting systems. Its brands include Cigweld, Firepower, Thermal Dynamics, Tweco, Victor, and Weldskill. Although Thermadyne has operations around the globe, the US accounts for over 50% of sales.

Tomboy Tools company markets hand tools, power tools, and garden tools in the US, Canada, and the UK that are designed to appeal to women. Tomboy Tools uses a direct-sales approach, similar to Tupperware's and Avon's methods, with independent representatives hosting parties where women learn how to use the company's tools. They are designed to fit a woman's smaller hand and to be lightweight "but effective" (the company claims). Operated by an all-female staff, Tomboy Tools was founded in 2000 by executives Janet Rickstrew and Mary Tatum. It boasts a 13,000 sq. ft. distribution facility near Denver and publishes the Tomboy Tribune newsletter.

W.C. Bradley makes Thermos-brand grills,Lamplight Farms oil lamps, Tiki torches, and scented candles; and Lew's, Martin, Quantum, Van Staal, and Zebco fishing gear. The company's wares are sold to major retailers worldwide, including Sears, Roebuck, Home Depot, Kmart, and Wal-Mart, and through its own Web sites. It also runs a PGA Tour Stop shop in Florida. Founded in 1885 by William C. Bradley, the company is run by the family's fourth generation; chairman Steve Butler is the nephew of Bradley's grandson.
