IntriCon Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the design, development, engineering, and manufacture of body-worn devices worldwide. It designs, develops, engineers, and manufactures micro-miniature injection-molded plastics, microelectronics, micro-mechanical assemblies, and assemblies primarily for bio-telemetry devices, medical equipment, hearing instruments, professional audio and telecommunications devices, and computers. It also provides various communication devices for applications in the fire, law enforcement, safety, aviation, and military markets; and a line of miniature ear and head-worn devices that are used by performers and support staff in the music and stage performance markets. IntriCon Corporation sells its products through an internal sales force and sales representatives. It has strategic alliances with Dynamic Hearing Pty Ltd to develop body-worn ULP-DSP applications; and Advanced Medical Electronics Corp. to develop and manufacture miniature, wireless, and ultra-low-power bio-telemetry instruments.
