Mayrsohn International Trading is a leading importer and exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables with facilities in Miami and New York. It handles a wide array of fresh produce, including apples, onions, and potatoes, as well as Florida grapefruit. The company also imports bananas and plantains from Ecuador.

Mazzetta was founded in 1987 and is based in Highland Park, Illinois. Mazzetta Company, LLC processes, distributes, and supplies frozen seafood products. Its products include orange roughy, gayi blue hake, tilapia, Chilean sea bass, and whiting fillets; seafood medley; greenshell mussels; recipe-ready cooked, premium raw, cooked black tiger, and cooked white shrimps; lobster tails; headless and dressed whiting; cooked black tiger shrimp rings; slipper lobster tails; pasteurized crab meat; and squids. Mazzetta company markets its products under SeaMazz brand name. It caters to retail chains, supermarkets, discount stores, and warehouse clubs.

McCall Farms company farms and cans tomatoes, okra, corn, squash, beans, peas, peaches, peanuts, and greens. Its products are sold in mostly the southeastern US. The produce is grown on McCall's 2,000-acre South Carolina farm; it also contracts with growers for another 3,000 acres. The company offers about its foods under the Margaret Holmes and Miss Millie brands and also makes private-label and foodservice products. Under the Peanut Patch brand, McCall offers the hard-to-find traditional Southern treat -- boiled peanuts. In 2009 McCall acquired another Southern specialty food maker, Glory Foods.

Tabasco is hot. Created in 1868 by Edmund McIlhenny, the popular pepper sauce is still made at the original site by McIlhenny Company on Avery Island, Louisiana. In fact, Tabasco actually created the pepper-sauce industry, and it remains a leader in its production and sale to this day. The sauce is distributed to foodservice clients (bars and restaurants) and food retailers in 160 countries. With a 600,000 bottle-a-day capacity Tabasco is labeled in more than 20 languages and dialects. McIlhenny also co-brands and produces other products such as pepper jelly, soy sauce, steak sauces, alcoholic beverages, and, not for the faint of heart, Tabasco lollipops. The McIlhenny family still owns and runs the company.
