Industrias Nacobre, through its operating subsidiaries, manufactures and distributes a variety of metal and plastic products for industrial, construction, and agricultural uses. Subsidiaries Nacobre and Almexa produce copper tubes, sheets, bars, wires, fittings, valves, flexible hoses, and forged parts as well as aluminum rolls and sheets, disks, foil, and machined parts. The group's third operating company is Tubos Flexibles, which makes PVC tubes and fittings primarily for use in hydraulic, irrigation, and sewer systems. Owned by Grupo Carso, Industrias Nacobre is part of that company's Condumex business segment.

Inlet Resources hopes to find copper at the end of the rainbow. The company is active in copper and nickel mining development in Canada. Inlet Resources owns mineral properties including a nickel and copper project in Quebec and a zinc property in British Columbia. Inmet is involved in five producing mines: Troilus, a wholly owned gold mine in Quebec; the Çayeli mine in Turkey, which produces copper and zinc concentrates; Ok Tedi, an 18%-owned copper mine in Papua New Guinea; the Spanish Las Cruces copper mine; and Pyhasalmi, a copper and zinc mine in Finland. It also has a Panamanian copper/gold project in development, acquired in 2008 when it bought Petaquilla Copper. In 2010 Inmet entered a joint agreement with Millrock Resources for a 70% interest in San Jose and Dry Mountain copper operations in Arizona.

Jiangxi Copper Company Limited is China's largest copper producer. The company manufactures about 800,000 tons of copper products annually and contains more than 10 million tons of proved and probable reserves in its mines, which include the Dexing and Yongping pits and the Wushan underground mine. It owns a copper smelter and refinery, and its majority-owned Jiangxi Copper Products subsidiary manufactures copper rods and wires. Other operations include gold and silver production. Jiangxi Copper Company Limited was formed by parent Jiangxi Copper Corporation, which is owned by the Chinese government, in 1997. Jiangxi Copper Corporation owns 48% of Jiangxi Copper Company Limited.

JX Nippon Mining & Metals (formerly Nippon Mining Holdings) is involved in the development and mining of non-ferrous metal resources, and the smelting, refining, and marketing of non-ferrous metals, such as copper, gold. and silver. It also manufactures and markets electro-deposited and treated rolled copper foils; precision-rolled copper, copper-alloy, and special steel products; and, thin film materials such as sputtering targets, surface treatment agents, and compound semiconductor materials. The company also recycles non-ferrous metals. In 2010 Nippon Mining merged with Nippon Oil to form JX Holdings, one of the world's largest energy companies. JX Nippon Mining & Metals is a subsidiary of JX Holdings.
