Granite City Food & Brewery®, a casual dining restaurant with an on-site brewery. Our initial restaurant commenced operations in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in June 1999. Our second restaurant, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, commenced operations in December 2000, and our third restaurant opened to the public November 20, 2001 in Fargo, North Dakota. We now have 26 stores operating in 11 different states. At Granite City Food & Brewery®, we serve signature beers, including Duke of Wellington (an English ale) and Broad Axe Stout (an authentic Irish beer), and entrees such as London broil. We offer a broad menu of items that are prepared fresh daily and are served in generous portions at reasonable prices. Our handcrafted beers are moderately priced and offer unique styles and flavors not typically produced by major breweries. Our founders, Mr. Wagenheim and Mr. Burdick, have over 52 years of combined hospitality industry experience. Mr. Wagenheim's experience includes that of corporate executive, owner/operator, manager and consultant for hotels, resorts, and individual and multi-unit restaurant operations. Mr. Burdick, a brewing chemist, has over 30 years experience in the restaurant, hospitality and brewing industry in both corporate and private positions.

In 1974, Randy Norton and Jim Farley opened a 16 table pizza place in Fairfax City, VA. Mike Ranney joined them a year later, and with the opening of Fantastic Fritzbe’s Flying Food Factory (now Silverado) in 1976, Great American Restaurants was born. Over the past 34 years, their partnership has thrived as a result of their entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for hospitality, and a ton of hard work by thousands of the best team players in the industry. “GAR is fun because our people take pride in being part of something special and love what we do. Green Mill Restaurants is a leading regional restaurant company with about 30 company-owned and franchised Green Mill Restaurant and Bar locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. The casual dining chain is known for its signature pizza styles and pasta dishes. The eateries also serve appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and salads, and they offer full bar service with happy hour specials. Myron Roth opened the first Green Mill location in St. Paul, Minnesota. CEO Chris Bangs along with two other partners acquired the business in 1975 and began franchising the chain in 1990.

This King may be Greene, but some of ales served in its pubs are golden. Greene King is a leading pub company and brewer in the UK with more than 2,500 drinking and eating establishments. Its estate includes more than 1,400 leased and tenanted pubs, along with nearly 800 managed pubs operating under such names as Hungry Horse and Hardy's House. The company's managed pubs chain also includes more than 300 locations in Scotland run through its Belhaven unit. In addition to pubs, Greene King operates about 40 upscale seafood restaurants through Loch Fyne Restaurants. Greene King's brewing operations market several brands of ale, including Abbot Ale, Greene King IPA, and Old Speckled Hen.

You might say this company is cooking up some classics on a daily basis. Grill Concepts operates a chain of more than 20 Daily Grill restaurants offering upscale casual dining in a setting reminiscent of a classic American grill during the 1930s and 1940s. Located primarily in California, the restaurants serve such fare as chicken pot pie, meatloaf, and cobbler, as well as steak, seafood, and pasta. In addition to its company-owned locations, Grill Concepts has a small number of licensed and managed units operating in shopping areas and hotels. The Daily Grill concept is based on the company's half dozen Grill on the Alley fine dining restaurants. CEO Robert Spivak co-founded the Daily Grill chain in 1984.
