Founded in 1947 by Stuart Hanan, a research chemist, Hanan Products Company Inc. has developed into a leading manufacturer of a broad line of whipped toppings used for baking and food service. With an overwhelming interest in quality, and a very active research and development staff, we have created products for every aspect of the industry. These products include; kosher dairy and parve, ready to use and concentrates, along with whippable and pre-whipped icings and fillings. With our newly expanded facility in Hicksville, New York, we are proud of our ability to develop and manufacture products that have attained the highest level of acceptance both domestically and throughout many international markets, including Europe, Asia, and South America. Our frozen storage capacity allows us to meet the most demanding requirements of all of our customers. In addition, our manufacturing approach remains agile and responsive.

Hickman's Family Farms has been family-owned and operated in Arizona since 1944. In its early days, Hickman's entered the Arizona food service market by providing fresh, locally produced eggs direct to small independent restaurants, and directly to consumers. Every afternoon, one little refrigerated panel truck was sufficient to deliver the day's production to coffee shops in Glendale and to Carnation Restaurant in the big city of Phoenix. Bill and Gertie Hickman displayed the entrepreneurial insight that has kept Hickman's competitive for decades. By 1993, Hickman's was left standing as the only Arizona egg producer with chickens and a USDA-inspected processing plant. Despite the challenges of the egg industry, the Glendale operation continued to expand. In the late 1990s a new operation opened in Buckeye with laying houses that are each called home by 130,000 hens.

Hiland Dairy began in Springfield, Missouri, in 1938 by two men, Mr. Putman and Mr. Carter, who used a gas-powered electric generator to facilitate the milking of a 50-cow herd. All sales at this time were conducted door-to-door to homes in the area. Hiland Dairy was one of about 40 such dairies that existed around Springfield in the late 1930s. In 1948, Hiland moved to a single, two-story brick building on old Route 66. Mr. Putman worked hard for many years and developed the business until 1979, when he sold the operation to Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. and Dairy Farmers of America, Incorporated. Hiland Dairy is now jointly owned by these two dairy farmer cooperatives. Since the late 1970s, Hiland has competed against other much larger national dairies. Today, Hiland is the only locally operated dairy due in large part to its single-minded commitment to quality. Hiland’s stringent production standards exceed the toughest state and federal requirements which help ensure the highest quality dairy products available.
