Blaine Larsen Farms harvests crops that will feed people and animals. The company, better known as Larsen Farms, grows, packs, and distributes potatoes under the Larsen Farms brand. It is one of the largest potato growers in the US and operates its potato farms and related facilities in Idaho, Colorado, and Nebraska. It serves retail and foodservice customers worldwide. The company also makes processed potato products (crushed, diced, dehydrated, flaked, and sliced), which it supplies to food manufacturers (including snack giant, Frito-Lay, and Pringles maker, Procter & Gamble). Established in 1989 Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative is a locally owned farmers' cooperative located in Findlay Ohio. BVFC has 13 locations including four agronomy stations, a farm and garden store, and two petroleum locations as well as two seasonal locations to service customers in the areas with grain.A cooperative is owned by the customers, so a membership to BVFC brings benefits such as voting rights and equity returns. BVFC has averaged a 5% increase through grain marketing and operates off of 1% of its total revenue the rest of which is turned over to the members.
