Saxbys began roasting coffee in the 1990s and opened its first store in 2004. Owned by investment firm Walnut Street Capital, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2009.

The Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group is a multi-concept restaurant operator with foodservice locations mostly in the Houston area. Its portfolio of dining concepts is anchored by Cafe Express, a chain of fast casual restaurants that serve gourmet hamburgers and pasta dishes along with soups, salads, and sandwiches. The chain has more than 15 locations in and around Dallas and Houston. Other restaurant concepts include the upscale nightspot RDG + Bar Annie, Rio Ranch Steakhouse, and Taco Milagro Restaurant & Beach Bar. Schiller Del Grande also operates a contemporary, casual dining room called The Grove. Chef Robert Del Grande and partner Lonnie Schiller started the restaurant business in 1994.

Schwartz Brothers Restaurants operates a half dozen casual and upscale dining locations in the Seattle area. Its operations include Chandler's Crabhouse, Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar, and Revolution Bar & Grill, as well as a handful of steakhouses operating under the name Daniel's Broiler Prime Steaks & Chops. Schwartz Brothers provides banquet and catering services through Daniel's Catering, while its Gretchen's Shoebox Express unit offers box lunch services to downtown locations. The family-owned business was started by Bill and John Schwartz, who opened their first restaurant in 1970.
