Great Plains Exploration Inc.
Great Plains Exploration has been exploring for oil and gas in the Great Plains of Canada since its spinoff from Eurogas Corporation. Great Plains focuses its drilling and exploration activities on properties in Alberta (including the Peace River Arch, Pembina, and Randell areas). In 2005 Great Plains Exploration Inc. acquired Calgary-based Rock Creek Resources. Great Plains Exploration Inc. has grown rapidly through acquisition with the additions of Energy Explorer and assets in the Altares area of northeastern British Columbia. In 2008 Great Plains Exploration Inc. acquired undeveloped lands and a large exploration block in northeastern British Columbia. Great Plains Exploration Inc. has proved plus probable reserves of 6.9 million barrels of oil equivalent.
