World Health Organization(WHO)

A specialized agency of the United Nations - it is the lead organization on Global Health. An inter-governmental organization, it works in collaboration with its member states through the Ministry of Health. WHO's objective is the attainment by all people of the best possible level of health i.e. "Health for All". In India, WHO provides technical cooperation, collaboration and coordination for health to the Government in support of national health development efforts.
