Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, and to keep up the ideals set down by him in order to popularize Indian classical music amongst the masses through.

The certification of Bharatiya Sangeet Mandal, Pune is equivalent to that issued by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune conducts courses in Hindustani Classical Music and since its formation, it has nurtured the best of the talents in the field of Hindustani classical music.
