Mahindra & Mahindra launches new Bolero at Rs 6.59 lakh

Homegrown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday launched a new Bolero with mHawk D70 engine priced at Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) for the SLE BS4 variant.
Christened as 'New Bolero Power+', its engine delivers 13 per cent more power and 5 per cent more mileage over the existing Bolero, M&M said in a BSE filing.
The new Bolero Power will be available in three variants — SLE, SLX and ZLX across Mahindra dealerships across India, it added.
M&M President & Chief Executive (Automotive) Pravin Shah said: "The Bolero has been India's no 1 SUV for 10 years in a row from 2005-06 to 2015-16 and the all New Bolero Power+ is an evolution of this powerful brand."
M&M stock trading 3.46 per cent lower at Rs 1,419.95 per scrip in the afternoon on BSE.

A Patanjali official and two others have been sentenced to six months in prison by a Uttarakhand court after samples of the Patanjali Navratna Elaichi Soan Papdi, a traditional sweet, failed a quality test, reported India Today.
The District Food Safety Officer of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand collected the samples from a shop in Berinag Market in September 2019 following concerns about the product.

AstraZeneca plans to build a $1.5 billion manufacturing facility in Singapore to produce a promising category of cancer-killing drugs called antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), the Anglo-Swedish drugmaker said on Monday.
The facility, which will be the drugmaker's first end-to-end ADC production site, will be supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board. The company did not provide details on the possible financial incentives from the Singapore government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has credited the Constitution for the trajectory of his own life, asserting that even if one assumes he acts out of self-interest, his own welfare lies in the welfare of the Constitution.
In an interview with PTI, Modi rejected the opposition's claim that he intended to change the Constitution and end reservation if the BJP-led NDA wins over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls. It is the BJP, he stressed, which has given the maximum number of ministers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC backgrounds.

Iran President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday was found dead after a chopper carrying him crashed on Sunday as it was crossing mountains terrain in heavy fog on the way back, according to Iranian state media. The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials were also reportedly present in the chopper along with Raisi.
Earlier, the Iranian authorities intensified their search operation for the crashed helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi.
