Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Idea Cellular and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries from the Nifty 50 companies have hit their respective 52-week lows on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Adani Ports has dipped 5% to Rs 262, its 52-week low on the NSE. The stock slipped 8% in two trading days from Rs 285 after the company through its subsidiary Adani Kattupalli Port, has entered into an in principle agreement for the strategic acquisition of the Kattupalli Port in Tamil Nadu from L&T Shipbuilding.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries too slipped 4% at Rs 725, extending its previous day’s 6% fall after the company reported a 46% year on year (YoY) dip in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,107 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 (Q2) due to lower sales growth, volatile currency movements and supply constraints.

BHEL was trading down 2% at Rs 180, extending its yesterday’s 3% decline on the NSE. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 178 in intra-day trade today. The company’s Q2 results were significantly below estimates on account of lower gross margins, which management attributed to weaker realisations and higher import content in supercritical thermal projects.
