Now, Air India flight grounded in Mumbai for want of engineering documents

A city-bound Air India flight was grounded at Mumbai airport today by the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after it found that the crucial engineering documents relating to the plane were not updated.
This forced Air India to replace the aircraft, leading to a delayed departure of the city-bound flight from Mumbai via Aurangabad, sources said.
The Air India flight arriving from Goa was scheduled to take off for New Delhi at 1500 hours.
“However, during the inspection, the flight operations inspector of the DGCA found that the aircraft did not have the mandatory updated engineering documents. So, the aircraft was not allowed to take off and the aircraft was grounded,” they said.
When contacted, an Air India official confirmed that the flight was delayed due to some documents issue.
“The aircraft, which was an Airbus A319 had to be replaced with an A321 due to some documents issue,” the official said.
The flight finally departed at 1615 hours with the new aircraft, the official added.

IT major Wipro has appointed Vinay Firake as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) strategic market unit (SMU), effective immediately. Vinay will be based in Dubai and report to chief executive Srini Pallia. He will also join the Wipro executive board.
Wipro has undergone significant C-level restructuring this year. On April 6, Wipro appointed Srini Pallia as the CEO and managing director, succeeding Thierry Delaporte.

The Supreme Court will pass an order today on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's interim bail in the money laundering case registered against him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
A bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna on Wednesday told Enforcement Directorate counsel Additional Solicitor General SV Raju that it may pass the order on interim relief to Kejriwal on Friday.
