The owner of the building in Satya Niketan that collapsed, claiming lives of seven people, has been apprehended from Rajasthan's Bhiwadi area on Monday, the Delhi Police said.
An officer said, "Hariram Gupta has been apprehended from Bhiwadi. Further examination is ongoing in connection with the case."
The decades-old five-storey building in southwest Delhi's Satya Niketan housed a boys' PG. It collapsed during repair work on Sunday. Seven people have died so far, while rescue operations continue.

Maruti Suzuki India will raise prices of select models by up to ₹20,000 from September, the company said in a BSE filing on Monday, citing sustained increases in input costs and elevated inflationary pressures.
This will be the third price hike announced by the carmaker since May. However, unlike the previous two increases, which were applicable across Maruti Suzuki’s entire vehicle portfolio, the latest revision will be limited to select models.

At least six people have died after a five-storey building being used as a paying guest (PG) accommodation collapsed in southwest Delhi's Satya Niketan area on Sunday afternoon. A total of 11 people have been rescued from the rubble so far. One more person rescued during the night was declared dead upon reaching the hospital, taking the death toll to six, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Amit Goel said.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a penalty of Rs 6.2 lakh on Hinduja Leyland Finance for regulatory violations related to microfinance loan pricing and securitisation of assets.
According to the RBI, the company did not have a board-approved policy governing the pricing of its microfinance loans.
