'Sasural Simar Ka' actor Ashiesh Roy dies of kidney failure

Television actor Ashiesh Roy passed away on Tuesday at the age of 55. The actor has been suffering from kidney ailment during the coronavirus lockdown and in shocking news breathe his last after struggling for life. Amit Behl, who is the Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA confirmed the news to The Times of India about Ashiesh's death. He said, "Ashiesh has passed away in his house. Director Arvind Babbal called to inform me about it."

Ashiesh had become a household name with his stint on popular televisions shows namely Movers & Shakers, Yes Boss, Remix, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi, Burey Bhi Hum Bhale Bhi Hum, Sasural Simar Ka, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Mere Angne Mein, Aarambh to name a few.

Meanwhile, the security guard of the building where Ashiesh resided also told TOI, "Ashiesh saab died at 3.45 am last night. His servant came running down and said he had a couple of big hiccups and collapsed. Unka health problem toh chal hi raha tha but the servant said he was quite okay yesterday. In fact, he was supposed to undergo a dialysis today, too."

Apart from being a part of TV shows, Ashiesh starred in a few movies too. He was known to play comic characters and also was a popular dubbing artist. He had given voice for the Hindi dubbed version of several Hollywood flicks such as Superman Returns, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Guardians of the Galaxy, RoboCop among many others.
