PM Modi to hold virtual meeting with CMs of all states, UTs next week

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding extensive talks with all the Chief Ministers of states and Union Territories (UTs) on June 16 and 17.
This will be Modi first interaction with the Chief Ministers ever since 'Unlock1' was declared. He earlier had rounds of discussions with the Chief Ministers.
On June 16, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a video conference with Chief Ministers of 21 states and UTs including Punjab, Assam, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Goa, Manipur, Nagaland, Ladakh, Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Sikkim, ANI reported.
In the second round of video conference on June 17, the Prime Minister will speak to 15 chief ministers including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana and Odisha.
The administrators of UTs including Jammu and Kashmir will also take part in the meeting.
The second round will be very crucial as a large number of cases have been reported from Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.
The Prime Minister and Chief Ministers are expected to share notes on how states are dealing with the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country and the way forward.

AstraZeneca plans to build a $1.5 billion manufacturing facility in Singapore to produce a promising category of cancer-killing drugs called antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), the Anglo-Swedish drugmaker said on Monday.
The facility, which will be the drugmaker's first end-to-end ADC production site, will be supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board. The company did not provide details on the possible financial incentives from the Singapore government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has credited the Constitution for the trajectory of his own life, asserting that even if one assumes he acts out of self-interest, his own welfare lies in the welfare of the Constitution.
In an interview with PTI, Modi rejected the opposition's claim that he intended to change the Constitution and end reservation if the BJP-led NDA wins over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls. It is the BJP, he stressed, which has given the maximum number of ministers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC backgrounds.

Iran President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday was found dead after a chopper carrying him crashed on Sunday as it was crossing mountains terrain in heavy fog on the way back, according to Iranian state media. The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials were also reportedly present in the chopper along with Raisi.
Earlier, the Iranian authorities intensified their search operation for the crashed helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi.
