Wavemaker India wins ITC's ₹60 crore digital mandate

New Delhi: Wavemaker, the media, content, and technology agency from GroupM on Tuesday announced that it has been awarded the consolidated digital mandate of fast moving consumer goods giant ITC following a multi-agency pitch. Dentsu Aegis Network is the incumbent agency on the account.

Estimated to be in the range of ₹60 crore, the mandate includes search engine, social media, digital creatives and all other verticals.

Wavemaker has been ITC's agency on record (AOR) for mainline media handling media buying for television, print and outdoor since 2017.

Speaking on the win, Kartik Sharma, chief executive -South Asia, Wavemaker said, “We are extremely thrilled and honored to be chosen by ITC to handle their digital mandate as well. Created from the merger of Maxus and MEC media agencies in 2017, Wavemaker India is a media, content and technology firm owned by advertising conglomerate WPP. It handles clients such as fast-moving consumer goods firm ITC Ltd, telecom firm Vodafone, retail chain Shoppers Stop, auto giant Tata Motors, e-commerce platform Myntra, liquor company Pernod Ricard and Hero MotoCorp Ltd, among others.
