Infosys to step up services in Dutch market, opens Amsterdam office

Infosys, the country's second-largest software services firm, has opened an office in Amsterdam to strengthen its digital technology services in the Dutch market.

Currently, the company has more than 20 clients in the Netherlands and employs more than 1,100 people, including those who work at client locations.

Infosys plans to take its service offerings in digital areas, such as artificial intelligence, automation, data and analytics, and platform technologies, to clients across sectors such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing in the region.

"The Netherlands is one of our largest markets in Europe and we are encouraged with the traction we have seen in the region. In the past 15 years, Dutch clients and prospects have been keen adopters of new technologies and our strengthened presence in the market will enable our customers to embrace innovations to help them achieve their growth and digital transformation ambitions," Rajesh Krishnamurthy, head of Europe at Infosys, was quoted as saying in a statement.

The office was inaugurated by Amsterdam's Deputy Mayor Kajsa Ollongren and India's Ambassador to The Netherlands Venu Rajamony. Others present at the event included Mohit Joshi, the head of banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare and life sciences at Infosys; and Roshan Shetty, who heads the company’s operations in the country.

"International companies are very important to the Amsterdam metropolitan area. Infosys, especially, is a valuable partner for Amsterdam and we are pleased that they chose to grow their presence in the city with this ultra-modern office. Through the collaboration with knowledge institutes based here, Infosys fosters innovation and creates opportunities for young talent," Ollongren was quoted as saying.
