The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested promoters of Unitech Ajay Chandra and Sanjay Chandra in a money laundering case.

The arrests were made after the federal probe obtained the Supreme Court's permission.

The brothers were earlier lodged in Mumbai's jail.

Shares of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MNTL) hit an over four-year high of Rs 29.60, on rallying 17 per cent in Tuesday’s intra-day trade amid back of heavy volumes on the BSE. Two hundred cases of Omicron variant of coronavirus have been detected in India so far out of which 77 patients have recovered or migrated, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

Maharashtra and Delhi have recorded 54 cases of Omicron variant each, while Telangana registered 20 cases, Karnataka 19, Rajasthan 18, Kerala 15 and Gujarat 14 cases.
