New Zealand reports first death linked to Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine

New Zealand on Monday reported what authorities said was the country's first recorded death linked to the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

The information was released by the health ministry following a review by an independent Covid-19 vaccine safety monitoring board of the death of a woman after receiving the vaccine. The ministry's statement did not give the woman's age.

With 46,759 people testing positive for COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours, India's infection tally rose to 3,26,49,947 on Saturday, while the count of active cases registered an increase for the fourth consecutive day, according to Union Health Ministry data.

Flood situation worsens in Assam, nearly 133,000 people affected

Over 1.33 lakh people, including more than 39,000 children, were affected in 11 Assam districts as the flood situation deteriorated on Friday with over 7,584 hectares crop areas having been inundated, officials said.

According to the official of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the worst affected five districts are Bongaigaon (63,891 people affected), Dhemaji (31,500), Majuli (13,239), Dibrugarh (10,697) and Chirang (10,634).
