National Conference (NC) president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has been summoned by the ED for questioning in a money laundering case in Delhi on May 31, official sources said on Friday.

The questioning is reported to be in connection with a case of alleged financial irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) that is being probed by the federal agency.

The Eastern Railway has achieved 100 per cent electrification of its 2,848 km network with the completion of work in the 41 km Hansdiha-Godda section, an official said here on Friday.

The company said additional provisioning and interest reversal totaling Rs 1,037 crore corresponded to select wholesale non-RE accounts that moved to Stage-2.

On Friday, the Singapore-based telecom company, Singtel made its intent about strategic investments in associate telcos (which include Bharti Airtel) clear. In a press statement, the company dubbed as "market speculation" reports about its intention to sell 1-2 per cent of its stake in the Indian telecom major for around $1-2 billion.
