Paytm shares advanced 3.9 per cent to Rs 797 per share on the BSE in Friday's intra-day deals after the fintech company shares a healthy business update for the month of July, 2023. At 10:14 AM, shares of the company were 2 per cent higher at Rs 783 as against 0.47 per cent gain in the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex.

During the month of July, Paytm catered to 93 million average monthly transacting users (MTU), up 19 per cent year-on-year (YoY) from 78 million MTUs seen in July 2022, on the back of growing consumer engagement on the Paytm Super App.

The National Capital Territory of Delhi of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 was passed by the Lok Sabha on Thursday as the monsoon session of the Parliament wrapped up for the day. It was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The bill replaces the Delhi services ordinance. It seeks to dilute the powers of the Delhi government over services.

The Manipur High Court on Thursday directed that the status quo be maintained at the proposed burial site in Haolai Khopi village of Churachandpur district where the Kuki-Zo community had planned a burial service for 35 people who were killed in the ethnic strife.

Air India's total accumulated losses at the end of the financial year 2022-23 (FY23) have been estimated at Rs 14,000 crore, According to a report by The Economic Times (ET). Sources were quoted as saying that Tata Sons invested about Rs 13,000 crore in Air India in FY23 through wholly owned subsidiary Talace.

Ambuja Cements on Thursday announced that it would acquire Sanghi Industries Ltd (SIL) at an enterprise valuation of Rs 5,000 crore. The Adani Group company will acquire a 56.74 per cent stake in SIL from its existing promoter group, Ravi Sanghi & family. The acquisition will be fully funded through internal accruals.

According to a stock exchange filing, the acquisition will be completed in the next three to four months.
