IRCTC launches Goa Carnival package for Mumbaikars

Rail travellers from Mumbai will have a matchless opportunity to experience the spectacular and fun-filled 'Goa Carnival' as Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) launches the first of its kind rail tour package for the picturesque coastal state, scheduled for February 5.

The five nights-six days all-inclusive package, which will also include sightseeing and cruise ride in Goa capital Panaji, has been chalked out by IRCTC's West Zone in collaboration with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).

Govt identifies 104 NH stretches to raise Rs 1 lakh cr

The highways ministry has identified 104 toll roads for monetisation. The government plans to earn Rs 80,000-1,00,000 crore over a period of 20-25 years from monetisation of these completed public funded national highway (NH) projects.

The ministry intends to give out these projects to private companies in toll-operate-transfer mode. The private companies entrusted for the purpose will collect toll as well as will be responsible for the maintenance of the stretch for which they are collecting toll.
