Attackers seized and later let go a tanker linked to Israel off the coast of Yemen on Sunday, authorities said.

Yemen's internationally recognised government blamed the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels for the attack, which followed at least two other recent maritime attacks linked to the Israel-Hamas war.

BH International Holdings, a unit of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, sold its remaining 2.46 per cent stake in One 97 Communications (Paytm) on Friday. It sold 15.62 million shares at Rs 877.3 apiece for Rs 1,371 crore.

According to data provided by stock exchanges, Copthall Mauritius Investment picked up 7.57 million shares and Ghisallo Master Fund LP acquired 4.2 million shares, amounting to a 1.19 per cent and 0.67 per cent stake in Paytm, respectively.

In a bid to increase the electricity production in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government will invest more than Rs 18,000 crore in a coal-fired thermal power plant in Sonbhadra district. The proposed thermal power unit ‘Anpara E’ will be set up by Meja Utpadan Nigam Priv­a­te Limited, a joint venture of NTPC and UP Rajya Vidyut Ut­p­adan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL).

This comes amid the rep­orts that the Government of India is looking at facilitating easier funding for new coal-fired thermal power plants in the wake of a sharp jump in electricity demand.
