The port out of Vodafone Idea (Vi) subscribers to state-owned BSNL has increased since the tariff hikes in July, CEO Akshaya Moondra said on Tuesday.

Vi had jacked up tariffs in July following a similar move by competitors Airtel and Jio. But BSNL had maintained the status quo.

Amazon India on Monday said that it has formed a strategic partnership with electric mobility firm Gentari for its EV deployment programme as it targets a fleet of 10,000 electric vehicles for last-mile deliveries by 2025.

Under the collaboration, Gentari Green Mobility Business will procure and deploy electric vehicles for the company in the next three years besides providing comprehensive fleet management services to the delivery service partners (DSPs) to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of the EV fleet, Amazon India said.

Indian Railways has scrapped its Rs 30,000-crore tender for the production and maintenance of 100 Vande Bharat trains, as reported by MoneyControl and confirmed by Olivier Loison, managing director of Alstom India.

The cancellation comes after the railways found the price quoted by the lowest bidder, Alstom India, to be ‘too high’. According to the report, the French multinational company had quoted a price of Rs 150.9 crore per train. However, the railways wanted to seal the deal at Rs 140 crore per train.

The decision followed a series of legal actions stemming from allegations that Patanjali engaged in a smear campaign against modern medicine, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In May, the Supreme Court had reserved its order on a contempt case filed by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) against Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Ramdev, and Balakrishna.
