YES Bank slips over 2% as RBI begins inspecting bank's exposure to NBFCs

Shares of YES Bank slipped as much as 2.1 per cent to Rs 184 in the intra-day trade on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after a news report suggested that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday began examining the private bank's exposure to various Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs).

Maruti Swift crosses 20 lakh sales milestone

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Tuesday said its premium hatchback Swift has crossed 20 lakh sales milestone since its launch the country in May 2005.

The model raced past five lakh sales mark in September 2010, 10 lakh sales mark in September 2013, 15 lakh mark in March 2016 and 20 lakh milestone in November this year.

Air India night flights offer: Grab flight tickets for as low as Rs 1,000; check details

India’s major state-run airline Air India has come out with its “Night Flights” offer, using which passengers can grab flight tickets for as low as Rs 1,000. “Night Flights, beat peak rush hour at attractive fares,” the airline said on its website. According to the details available on the firm’s website, the latest offer is effective 30th November 2018. Under the offer, customers can book flights between Bengaluru-Ahmedabad at just Rs 1,000.

Sensex, Nifty open on flat note

The Benchmark BSE Sensex and Nifty50 on Tuesday opened on a flat note. In open trade, Sensex started at 35,394.77 against while Nifty at 10,621.45 At 9:37, the 30-share Sensex traded at 35,367.22, up 13.14 pointsand the 50-scrip Nifty was at 10,628.90, with a gain of 0.30 points.

Among the top gainers were Infosys, Yes Bank, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, and Tech Mahindra.

Hyundai group looks to set up a steel plant in partnership with RINL

A team from the Hyundai group visited Visakhapatnam Steel Plant of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) to explore the possibility of setting up a steel plant in partnership with the public sector steel major.

A delegation of Hyundai representatives, led by the South Korean ambassador, was at the plant site last month. These are government-to-government talks, said RINL Chairman and Managing Director P K Rath.

Asset sale to Jio at risk from govt's Rs 29-bn demand, RCom tells SC

Billionaire Anil Ambani’s Reliance Communications (RCom) told Supreme Court on Monday that its asset sale to Reliance Jio Infocomm may not go through if approvals aren’t in place by mid-December, putting at risk planned debt repayments by the distressed company.

The government, however, reiterated its stand in the Supreme Court that it could not grant an approval to RCom for spectrum sale to Jio until a bank guarantee of Rs 29.4 billion was given to it by either company toward spectrum usage charges.
