Indian automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra on Thursday announced the deployment of its electric vehicles (EV) on global ride-sharing platform Uber in Hyderabad. Earlier, Mahindra had announced its strategic collaboration with Uber, to explore the deployment of EVs on its platform in several cities across India.

The two companies will be deploying 50 EVs, which include both e2O hatchback and e-Verito sedan models, in a tie-up with taxi partners such as eee-Taxi to begin with in Hyderabad.

Telecom regulator TRAI has directed Dish TV India to comply with the provisions of the new framework for broadcasting and cable TV services, acting on consumer complaints pertaining to the operators' specific offering and grievance redressal helpline.

TRAI, which has promised strict action against those cable TV and direct-to-home (DTH) players who are found violating its new tariff order and regulatory regime, had earlier this week also pulled up Bharti Telemedia on similar grounds.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Thursday said it has increased prices of Baleno diesel range and RS petrol variant by up to Rs 15,000 (ex-showroom) with immediate effect.

The Baleno RS, which comes with a 1 litre booster jet petrol engine, will now be available at Rs 8.88 lakh, MSI said in a regulatory filing. It was earlier priced at Rs 8.76 lakh.
