Flipkart gets stay on insolvency proceedings initiated against it at NCLT

Flipkart has obtained a stay order on insolvency proceedings initiated against the e-commerce firm by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in a case involving alleged withholding of dues to a seller on its platform.

CloudWalker Streaming, a Mumbai-based supplier of LED TVs, has alleged the Flipkart did not honour its purchase agreement and had not paid dues totalling to Rs 26.95 crore. The firm moved NCLT and had petitioned that Flipkart be recommended for insolvency under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has rolled out voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for its employees. The company hopes that about 100,000 employees will avail of the package.

The scheme opened on November 4 and will continue till December 3. The total number of BSNL employee is 175,000.

In the joint venture -- Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Pvt Ltd (MSTI) -- Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) will have 50 per cent share, while Toyota Tsusho Group companies -- Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Toyota Tsusho India Pvt Ltd -- will hold the remaining stake.

Shares of Aurobindo Pharma dipped 5 per cent to Rs 448, in otherwise firm market, on the BSE on Wednesday after the US health regulator (US FDA) issued ‘Form 483’ with four observations for its Hyderabad facilities. The stock of the drug firm was trading close to its 52-week low of Rs 435 touched on October 11, 2019 in the intra-day trade.

“The United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) inspected Unit V, API manufacturing facility at Pashamylaram, Hyderabad and Unit VIII, API manufacturing facility at Gaddapotharam, Hyderabad of the Company from 21st to 28th October 2019 and from 21st to 25th October 2019, respectively. At the end of the inspections, we have been issued a 'Form 483' with 4 observations for each facility,” Aurobindo Pharma said in a regulatory filing.
