NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Tuesday said its premium hatchback Swift has crossed 20 lakh sales milestone since its launch the country in May 2005.

The model raced past five lakh sales mark in September 2010, 10 lakh sales mark in September 2013, 15 lakh mark in March 2016 and 20 lakh milestone in November this year.

With the Supreme Court fixing April 1, 2020, deadline for the sale of only BS-VI-compliant vehicles, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is working 'overtime' to make over 40 variants of powertrains across more than 15 models meet the stricter emission norms, according to a senior company official.

The company has also reinforced manpower in its engineering and research and development in order to be able to meet the Bharat Stage (BS) VI norms for its fleet ahead of schedule.

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Wednesday launched a new version of its multi-purpose vehicle Ertiga priced between Rs 744,000 and Rs 109,000 (ex-showroom price Delhi).

The petrol variants, including two automatic trims, are priced between Rs 744,000 and Rs 995,000, while diesel variants are tagged between Rs 884,000 and Rs 109,000.

New Delhi: The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Tuesday said it has ramped up the production of its compact SUV Vitara Brezza to reduce waiting period of the model.

The company has increased production of the vehicle by 10 per cent to 94,000 units during April-October period of the current fiscal as compared with same period of 2017-18.

Mumbai: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, India’s largest passenger carmaker, on Thursday reported a marginal drop in domestic sales of passenger cars in October to 122,280 units, against 122,459 a year ago.

These figures do not includes sales of commercial vehicles and vans.

The re-launch of the Santro, however, comes at a time when high auto fuel prices, increased loan rates, and worsening macroeconomic factors have crimped consumer demand.

Country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Wednesday said it is recalling 640 units of its light commercial vehicle Super Carry sold in the domestic market to inspect and fix a possible defect in the fuel pump supply.

The recall covers Super Carry units manufactured between January 20 and July 14, 2018, MSI said in a statement.
