Long a dormant company, Crusader Energy Group LLC was reactivated in 2004 as Westside Energy with the intention of developing oil and gas properties as well as looking for acquisitions. In 2008, that company combined with Crusader Energy Group and took on that name. In early 2010 Anadarko Basin explorer Jones Energy acquired Crusader Energy.
