Manitoba Hydro, which is owned by the government of Manitoba, also exports power to utilities and energy marketers in the US and other Canadian provinces. Through its Centra Gas subsidiary, the company distributes natural gas to 264,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in 100 communities in Manitoba.

Marietta Board of Lights and Water (doing business as Marietta Power and Water) to provide electricity and water to residents and businesses in the city of Marietta, and the counties of Marietta and Cobb. The municipal utility operates through two divisions: Marietta Power distributes electricity to more than 45,000 customers and purchases power from the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG Power), and Marietta Water provides water supply and wastewater collection services to more than 17,000 customers.

Massive power resource, Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC) provides power supply services to its members -- 23 of the state's 40 municipal utilities (28 utilities are also participants in MMWEC power supply projects). The power supplier has about 715 MW of generating capacity from interests in fossil-fueled and nuclear power plants in the northeastern US, and it negotiates bulk electricity purchases from other generators for its members. MMWEC is the operator and principal owner of the Stony Brook Energy Center, a 520 MW, combined-cycle intermediate and peaking generating station in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
