Truman Medical Center (TMC) provides primary and mental health care at two not-for-profit hospitals in the Kansas City (Missouri) area with a combined total of about 350 beds. Its Hospital Hill runs one of the busiest emergency rooms in Kansas City (serving about 80,000 patients annually) and is known for treatments related to asthma, diabetes, obstetrics, ophthalmology, weight management, and women's health. TMC Lakewood is a leading academic medical center providing a range of health care services to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, including uninsured patients.

Twin County Regional Healthcare provides a variety of medical services to residents in Virginia. Its hospital offers specialized services such as emergency medicine, obstetrics, rehabilitation, and cardiac care. The health care center, which has more than 140 beds, also provides home health and hospice services, as well as wellness and behavioral health centers. Its emergency department treats some 16,300 patients each year.
