n the year 2007, the HTCC Group, today operating as Invitel Holdings A/S, merged its products and services under the “Invitel” brand name. With effect from 1 January 2008, the member companies of the dynamically growing corporation (Hungarotel Zrt., Pantel Kft., HTCC Kft., V-holding Zrt. and Euroweb Zrt.) merged into Invitel Távközlési Zrt. (short name: Invitel Zrt.).By buying Tele2’s Hungarian interests at the end of 2007, Invitel Zrt. became Hungary’s leading alternative network service provider and the second largest fixed-line service provider in the country.With effect from 1 January 2008, Tele2 Kft. continued its operations under the name Invitel Telecom Kft., offering an increasing number of services to its partners. The core activity of the company is the supply of telephony and Internet services via other telecom service providers’ networks, through call-by- call carrier selection or carrier pre-selection.
