Linificio produces its yarns at three plants in Italy and at two plants in Tunisia and Lithuania. Italy accounts for around two-thirds of sales; exports to other European countries account for more than a quarter. The company also makes machinery that processes (combs and spins) linen. Established in 1873, Linificio became a wholly owned subsidiary in March 2008 of Italy's Marzotto, which holds part of its ownership through Zignano.

It sells its products domestically and exports to the US and a handful of other countries. Lizhan filed to go public in mid-2010.

Low & Bonar PLC manufacturer supplies fabrics, fibers, yarns, and flooring products to customers in a broad range of industries including building & construction, civil engineering, transport, and carpet & tile. Products include fibrillated yarns, grass yarns, synthetic construction fibers, tiles, woven, and synthetic non-woven fabrics. Low & Bonar produces its goods using such materials as nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene, and PVC. Its brands include Chocflex, Coral, Flotex, Nuway, Tessera, and Threshold. About 70% of revenues come from Europe.

Marzotto's reputation is made out of whole cloth. Manifattura Lane Gaetano Marzotto & Figli and its affiliates are returning to their roots and concentrating on the textile side of the company's business, after having spun off Italian haute couture fashion house Valentino and other apparel-related operations into a separate company, called Valentino Fashion Group, in 2005. Textile operations remaining under the Marzotto flag include production of woolen and linen fabrics, yarns, and linens and blankets. Some of Marzotto's companies include Fratelli Tallia di Delfina, Estethia, and Lanificio G.B. Conte. The Marzotto family controls the company, which Luigi Marzotto founded in 1836.

Milliken & Company manufacturer produces more than 19,000 products, including carpets, apparel fabrics, carpet, mattress barriers, and bunker liners. It also makes chemicals and colorants that infuse such products as Crayola markers and liquid laundry detergent, make plastic food containers clear, and offer improvements for automotive, consumer products, and industrial markets. Milliken operates some 45 plants globally, and one of the largest textile research centers in the world. The Milliken family controls the company.
