Worthington Cylinder Corporation
Worthington Cylinders was established in 1971, when parent company Worthington Industries purchased Lennox Industries’ cylinder division. The cylinder division was a natural outlet for the processed steel Worthington Industries already controlled, making it an incredibly viable part of the larger business model. From its modest beginning, Worthington Cylinders has been a quiet, yet consistent contributor to Worthington Industries’ overall financial picture. Since its inception, the cylinder division has strived to add new sensible products while supporting those already in existence. That strategy, along with the support of thousands of employees, is what allowed Worthington Cylinders to become the world’s leading supplier of pressure cylinders.
