Its assorted lineup includes casting grain, fancy wire, round wire, sheet metal, solder, and tubing. Stern-Leach is reportedly the sole maker of Argentium, a tarnish controlling sterling alloy. In addition to manufacturers of jewelry, Stern-Leach caters to silversmiths, makers of giftware, pen manufacturers, and national mints. Jewelry designers also take advantage of the refiner's custom services such as in creating fused gold and bronze sheets. Stern Leach is owned by global materials processing company The Cookson Group.

Stupp Bros has set a high standard as a structural steel fabricator, founded in 1856. Stupp Bros., a holding company, owns Stupp Bridge (fabricator of plate girder bridges), Hammerts Iron Works (maker of structural steel used in commercial, institutional, medical, and specialized buildings), Stupp Corporation (produces electric resistance welded pipe for oil and gas transmission), and Bayou Coating (coating for steel line pipe). The company also owns a majority of community bank Midwest BankCentre. The Stupp family controls Stupp Bros.
