AMECO was founded in 1947 as part of Daniel Construction, a US regional construction company and general contractor. In 1977 American Equipment Company, Inc. was acquired by Fluor Corporation and, by 1989, the two companies had gone global. Today, AMECO delivers integrated equipment and tool solutions to industries around the world. The industrial fleet outsourcer supplies construction equipment (backhoes, forklifts, compressors, cranes, lifts, trucks) and other supplies for mining, construction, government, and industrial markets. American Equipment Company, Inc. also provides a selection of construction-site services, such as equipment maintenance, mobile-office installation, and site clean-up. American Equipment Company, Inc. serves customers primarily in the oil and gas, mining, energy, and infrastructure industries. Founded in 1947 as part of Daniel Construction and incorporated as AMECO in 1971, American Equipment Company, Inc. is a subsidiary and fleet management and construction support unit of Fluor, a construction and engineering giant.
