RFS was founded in the name of eminent film producer Dr D. Ramanaidu on October 8, 2008. Currenlty the school offers courses in acting, direction, script-writing and cinematography. The school is located within the premises of the Ramanaidu Studios in Film Nagar.

A starry-eyed young boy or girl, arrives in the city of Mumbai, fascinated by the opportunities of the promised-land of glamour, action and entertainment, and yet another dream is born. With an endeavour to give back and share the myriad experiences of over 4 decades, Mr. Ramesh Sippy gave form to RSACE, an institute that is one of its kind bridging the gap between theory and hands-on knowledge by highly experienced industry professionals.

He is accredited with training many of India's leading Film, Theatre and TV actors for four decades, besides nurturing the talents of a host of other actors Having trained at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.

At Salgane School of Acting located in Delhi, aspiring actors are not just groomed but also provided a platform to showcase their skills through theatre and films at the end of the training program. Over and above imparting the necessary skills to actors, the School helps the actors explore their complete potential. The acting classes feature a contemporary approach and focuses on developing craft, technique and the essential tools necessary to build a career as a professional actor.

Named after the legendary film maestro Satyajit Ray, the Institute has emerged as a national centre of excellence which offers post-graduate programme in Cinematic studies. SRFTI has succeeded in articulating and disseminating classical and contemporary theories of praxis for the creative minds to leap into the world of professional practice : be it mainstream, parallel,art-house, experimental or non-fiction narratives.The Institute has crossed many mile stones towards a new paradigm of the art and craft of Film making.
